I haven't seen the movie yet, but this remark, "Larry Clark’s Kids, the infamous, and superficial, 1995 documentary-style drama about New York teens doing drugs and having sex." is way off base. "Kids" was not shot documentary style, nor, to my recollection, was it infamous. To me, a native New Yorker, it seemed pretty realistic. Why you'd dis this old movie about post-pubescent high schoolers in your critique about a sexualizing pre-pubescent girls puzzles me.
